Computer Devices

Selection and customization of devices, applications, and games with therapeutic value

Project description

Provision and configuration of adapted technological equipment to improve communication, learning, and access to digital leisure in the CAPD centers.
The selection of devices was carried out based on the needs of professionals and users, ensuring that each device includes software and applications of therapeutic interest, promoting the development of cognitive and motor skills.

The selected devices include:

  • Tablets and computers with accessibility software, featuring easy-to-read modes, text-to-speech narration, and customizable interfaces to facilitate access to technology.
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) applications, such as pictogram systems, communicators, and adapted keyboards.
  • Cognitive stimulation programs, including games and exercises designed to strengthen memory, attention, and language.
  • Assistive products, such as high-contrast keyboards, button panels, or adapted mice, enabling access for people with diverse motor and cognitive abilities.

All devices were configured with personalization options according to the individual needs of users.
Special attention was also given to the integration of accessibility features within the operating systems and applications, ensuring simple and adapted use.
Additionally, training sessions were provided to CAPD staff to maximize the use of these technological resources in both therapeutic and educational contexts.
